The owners made us feel very welcome, after a long day travelling from the North of England. We were given homemade cake to go with the tea in our room; unusually there are tea and coffee making facilities.

The owner explained everything to us about what to do in Tivoli, and even gave us a lift to Villa Adriana, which is a way out of town, but easy to get to on the bus. He even repaired one of the wheels on my suitcase, which had been broken on the journey!

The Villa d’Este is not far away, in the town, a lovely walk through the beautiful old town of Tivoli.

The proximity of the railway station is a big plus, even though the area is slightly out of town, but it’s better than dragging your suitcases through the town, I always think.

A very handy place to stay if travelling by train, as it’s on the line from Rome to Pescara, on the East Coast. Also, fine to stay instead of in Rome itself, with frequent trains into the capital. And much cheaper!
